I've figure that "moody loner with assault rifle" is not a good dating profile line.

John wrote:"Dating" is bullshit. Just make friends with girls (girls who are actually worth being friends with) and tell them you would like to have sex. If they say no, then you still have a friend. If they say yes, well then put on a rubber and/or remember to pull out in time. Congratulations, you are a man.wafl wrote:I'd love to complain about dating with you guys, but for some reason nobody will date me.
Being friends with girls, as long as you are honest with them and they are not shitty people, will always pay off. Friends are good to have, and they will inevitably either fuck you or find someone for you to fuck. Just take deep breaths, clear your mind and your balls, and be serene.

I've never been able to do it either. I don't think it's right or wrong if anyone does. People can do whatever the fuck they want as far as I'm concerned. John is saying something similar to what I did. Just make friends, and if you hit it off with one, then things will go farther. I do think that the only thing that really separates two people from being really good friends and lovers is that lovers have sex.Disarm D'arcy wrote:John wrote:"Dating" is bullshit. But where's the love? And the things like you know, buying a house with a white picket fence on credit and owning a dog and minivan and joint bank account and all this. No but serisouly I don't get the fuck buddy thing. To me it's something emotional and not just plain regular release of endorphins.
Yeah I'm not talking about a codified relationship status with a rigid definition. I'm talking about just relating to other people, some of whom you may or may not get physically intimate with. If you are (or learn to be) capable of loving your fellow humans, then "The Love" will happen naturally. You can't make anyone love you more than they are capable of, but you can show them your true self by being open, honest and courageous, and then they can make their own decisions.gunslinger_burrito wrote:I've never been able to do it either. I'm not being a negative Neddy here but they really set themselves up for an epic failure with that, unless they are extremely, EXTREMELY lucky. The chances of that working out in the long run are pretty slim based on knowing each other for such a short time. Making such a major committment as marriage puts a lot of strain on something so tenuous. It's like making a rope bridge and then trying to drive a Hummer over it. May I ask how long, if at all, they lived together before tying the knot? Also, what are their ages and have they been married or committed before?skullservant wrote:On the otherhand, my cousin started dating a guy in like Feburary or March of last year and they were married in the Fall.
And are a great excuse to get gifts! Is there a wedding registry on Fuzzhugger.com? There should be.D.o.S. wrote:Weddings make for rad parties.

Oh, don't get me wrong, it completely surprised my entire family when she said they were getting married. Early to mid 20's, both of them, no prior marriages. To give some more context, he's in the military (not that that would help anything). They seem to be doing surprisingly well thus far. Only time will tell but I wish 'em the best.John wrote:I'm not being a negative Neddy here but they really set themselves up for an epic failure with that, unless they are extremely, EXTREMELY lucky.
