i have enough materials for another one of these, (got in case i botched the first one).
wanna see how the build goes the 2nd time around now that i have all the pieces and have gone thru it once.
this first one was really a learning experience and mostly me just hoping that it would all work out in the end.

Did you get all the code tweaked liked you wanna?
Easy to play and manipulate?
yessir! the cool thing about it, since i just put the whole arduino board in there, i can still plug it into the computer via the USB and tweak the code anytime.
so I can add new features to it and update it stuff as I go. i wanted it to be finished yet flexible, something i could continue learning on.

yea from what i gathered they were good quality so i went w/ them.
for the USB to midi thing. u need like a USB/Midi host. lame how they don't give u a midi port really anymore (some stuff i guess they do).
kenton makes one, iconnectmidi does, a few others out there. i think theres a pedal one by damage control or something like that.
basically it just makes it so u can connect the usb and the midi together.
best bet is prob just to find an older midi keyboard w/ the midi ports.

was pretty much the same motivation for me. arcade buttons!
