I ended up working super late last night, so I'll write and test it tonight.
Code: Select all
cd ~/Downloads
Code: Select all
sh Ct5_Update.sh
Thanks, David! This is awesome.DRodriguez wrote:Here's the script.
Code: Select all
Deducing device DFU version from functional descriptor length
Found Runtime: [05ac:8213] ver=0208, devnum=4, cfg=1, intf=3, path="6-6.1", alt=0, name="UNKNOWN", serial="C8BCC8ADD408"
Code: Select all
Found Runtime: [05ac:8213] ver=0208, devnum=4, cfg=1, intf=3, path="6-6.1", alt=0, name="UNKNOWN", serial="C8BCC8ADD408"
Code: Select all
dfu-util -l
Code: Select all
dfu-util -l
Code: Select all
dfu-util -a 0 -D ./application_release_0_96_k_l.dfu
Thanks D! tried it again and it worked! i didn't have to skip the script because it saw that the software was still installed and went to the next step. it seems that it found my power cord and the CT5. just updated both, haha! Now i have to learn how to use the new features. The CT5 has grown into a feature monster but time'll tame it.DRodriguez wrote:It's not actually seeing your Ct5. It will be listed under
For some reason dfu-util lists a macbook power cord as a dfu device, which I believe is what it's listing asCode: Select all
Deducing device DFU version from functional descriptor length Found Runtime: [05ac:8213] ver=0208, devnum=4, cfg=1, intf=3, path="6-6.1", alt=0, name="UNKNOWN", serial="C8BCC8ADD408"
But when you plug in you Ct5 properly, it will say something else there. Make sure you are plugging in your USB connection before you supply power to your Ct5, otherwise the Ct5 will not try and connect to your cmputer.Code: Select all
Found Runtime: [05ac:8213] ver=0208, devnum=4, cfg=1, intf=3, path="6-6.1", alt=0, name="UNKNOWN", serial="C8BCC8ADD408"
One test you can do is, don't uninstall the software at the end of the script, and keep trying to plug in your Ct5 until you get a different result from the command.edit: Because you didn't uninstall the software, you can skip the script now. Just make sure you're in the same directory as the firmware update. Keep doingCode: Select all
dfu-util -l
Until you see a change in the output. Then to install the update, make sure your in the same directory as the update and then use the commandCode: Select all
dfu-util -l
Code: Select all
dfu-util -a 0 -D ./application_release_0_96_k_l.dfu
And thank you Scott for this update! I really appreciate that you took the time to add these features!multi_s wrote:ok thanks again for your contribution Dave!
Can you make sure your friend used the right firmware for rev J?deeohgee wrote:My friend upgraded my RevJ to the latest firmware for me - I don't have a PC & all the Mac info didn't help me much. The upshot is Mode 1 only works with the E switch in down position, Q does not work. mode2 doesn't work, only get a blue flashing LED with E switch down. same for mode3 but with solid blue LED.
Any suggestions

it has to be this file, it is the only update for the rev j boards. It sounds liek makeybe he used the h/i update. They are not compatible. Please ask him to double check. This is the only update for rev j that has been released:
