So, Alan told me the Bog Beast may not happen, the transistors he had aren't stable enough to use. The whole purpose of the pedal was to use the transistors. Oh well.

Honestly I would have bought a Bog Beast just based on the name alone. Too bad.
Not sure what my second Mountainking pedal is gonna be. Gonna record with the Behemoth II again tonight.
Behemoth II puts big beards on all my basses. Bearded bass through a tube head is pretty sweet.

I'd say it's akin to typical pissed off tube amp grind, yes. Medium gain on the verge of getting high but not really. Very interactive controls, quite responsive to what you're feeding into it. I quickly settled into what settings work for me, but there's a lot of tones there. Holy shitballs I love the Filter knob. Every dirt pedal should have such a device. Scratch that, I want to run every dirt pedal into said Behemoth II, if anything strictly for the Filter control. It's like a passive tone knob after the dirt. It's like totally fuckin' awesome (and shit).
Recording went great. I'll post clips later. Fuckin' thunderous as all god damn.

Tis! It's going on my noise board as a 3rd fuzz / noise maker, then i'm gonna feed it into a ring mod, phaser/vibrato, and delay. Should make for some wicked stuff.

Well the recording went terrible, at least for bass. Sounded like absolute shit due to a mic/room issue. That means I had to re-record my part at home, which I did just now, and while I was at it, also recorded a brief mic'd cab check featuring the Behemoth II:

Clip goes clean, then B:Assmaster, then Behemoth II, then both

, then back to clean.
In a mix recordings to surface... eventually.

Bandmix example, not terribly happy with how the bass turned out on this one, but the distorted parts are all Behemoth II:
