At I guess I'd say that it was a number sequence generated by atmospheric noise.

The value that is generated (in column A) is then adjusted by how cool the combination of your street address and surname are. Multiplied by your post count on ILF (this is a combined value in column B). So there's a certain amount of luck and also some skill involved - if you move to somewhere that has a street name that sounds funny in Norwegian then you'll have a greater chance of purchasing a pedal in the future. Column C is then your purchasing coefficient.

All has become clear, the email was a "you weren't chosen, better luck next time" message.

As I just totted up my post-christmas finances and discovered I have very little in disposable funds, it's not as sad as it might have been
