I smuggled a few of these into a theater and watched Insidious 4 yesterday. Its probably an objectively bad movie but its my favorite since the first. The psychic and her tech assistants buy an old RV for their paranormal investigation road trip and call it "The Winneba-ghost"

I like Jean Rollin's films in theory, rather, I want to always like them....when you actually watch them though...they're such a bore.

His work is better presented in film books. You get the cool stills, your read what the plot is, save yourself some time.
That, or they make really good experiential viewing. Like watch at 03:00 AM when you've been up for 24 hours and are coming down from way too much caffeine.

On the subject of movies that get better with cheap Whisky, I've gone full circle and kinda unironically enjoy Ghost In The Shell 2017.

It's pretty bad, but sometimes neon dingy bars and Robot girls shooting people in the head is all you need
