First outing with the 12 steel grinder. Had a blast playing it today through the Dirge combo.
The Seymour Duncans are articulate, loud, and bold. Spent most of the set playing in the middle position, which seems to almost have some p90-ish fullness to it.
I really need to move the top strap peg up a little bit higher, I was holding up the neck most of the set, but honestly it's not the heaviest guitar in the world.
Our keyboardist wasn't able to make it today, but I talked to a few people after our set who said that they thought SOMEONE was playing a synth, just turned out to be the 12 string with delay and reverb. Really impressed with the action, even if it is a little bit high. I can't get the saddles to sit any lower because of the screws that attach the tele bridge to the body. They sit right under where the saddles lay, and prohibit them from going completely flat or much lower than all the way up. But it works.
Also added the tape to the back of the tuners tonight, after scrambling around trying to tune the guitar few times between songs. The G strings are acting a little bit better, I might just put some graphite on the nut to see if that helps anything with them staying in tune. Eventually I might be upgrading the tuners from the Gotoh's, they are a little stiff.

I sometimes, while setting up, get asked "why do you play a 12 string?" (never after the set, strange that.)
Because-
