her solo album is quite cool. Not really my cuppa, but quite enjoyable. But her set was painful

her bass player had the WORST bass sound I've ever heard at a professional live show. How he did that with an SVT and a fridge is beyond me. no bass whatsoever. And the dude looked as if he didn't want to be there at all. the other guitar player was okay, a bit more stage presence but meh. the drummer was actually quite decent

Brody herself was great, really into it, amazing vocals. Great performance
but she played very little of the solo record and instead played some old Distillers songs and a Misfits cover. Which would be okay if a) it didn't sound all the fucking same and really boring and b) if there was actually some energy and stage presence from anyone else in the band besides her. If they knew how to sell those songs, it might have been actually quite enjoyable. This way it was just sort of annoying

i mean i am into SOME punk rock like Dead Kennedys for example... but this was really not enjoyable for me at all

I thought it was ok? Not terribly impressed, I generally prefer them being darker and heavier. Last album was great though so I'm not writing the whole album off at all.

Yea I did not dig that song at all. I love them too, so that makes me sad.

I didn't like almost all of Era Vulgaris, so I'm emotionally prepared for them releasing not great albums.

I don't love it but it's growing on me a bit. Apparently this is the poppiest song on the album so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'm not going to say they can't change their sound, but I'm super disappointed in them over the last several years. They were one of my all time favorite bands and when I saw them in concert it was amazing.

This shit is just not even close to on par with their older stuff, which is fucking sad to me. Why do bands do this??? WHY!!!!

I almost wonder if it's because John has done so many projects at once at times that his shit starts to blend together. Like Eagles of Death Metal is one band I fucking hate so much, but he's the back up vocals...so maybe that's why?

Does anyone else feel this way or am I just expecting too much?
