I love those oldies!

I have my eye on 70's jazzmaster, but the guy is asking obscene amount of money for it.All of the sunburst finish is almost gone and the tremolo is broken (I have one spare!).I hope that I'll be able to get the price down, but who knows... :apathy:

Good luck with it matey!! ;) ;) I guess you already are aware of this, but not all old guitars are good. They made some right stinkers as well. And if the trem's nackered, beat him down in price a lot!!!!!!!! Let us know how you get on :thumb: .

I picked this guitar up for peanuts from a junk shop back in 1983. I just loved the look and vibe of it!! But this was before the clamour for "vintage" and associated price inflation, so they were almost giving old guitars away back then.

my original 1970 Dan Armstrong i've had since 1991.
i broke the pickguard one tour, and our other guitarist made the new one out of a Boston stop sign.
Seymour Duncan Invader, just like Egerton.
a recent re-fret brought new life to this thing. plays like no other guitar on earth.

i have another pickguard w/ electronics for when i want to reassemble it. but i don't want to.
this thing is tattooed on my leg as well. its been on lotsa tours and lotsa records.

I've got a 1976 Fender Bronco guitar.

It is a piece of junk. I think it has probably the worst trem bridge design of all time.
