Errrm...

Alright. I'll show you.

'cept right now it doesn't have any knobs. Imma put some Ric/Moog knobs on it and add an Electra Tone-Spectrum style switch one day...

Oh god it's amazing. I suspect the proper gibson ones are even better.

You'd be surprised how little difference there is... they feel pretty similar, pending a proper setup.

neat. i have the dooder that does the setups/mods on my basses put a killswitch on all my basses. love it.

the Dinger has a four way switch for the pups, neck solo, both series, both parallel, bridge solo. i keep meaning to see if he can do something to bump up the volume on the neck solo to match the series. i like the tones of both, but there's a noticeable and annoying drop off in volume in anything that's not the series. which makes sense, i just don't want that.

It's sort of like a Ric, P bass, and Thunderbird had a 3 way. Lots of snarl, but lots of depth too. I've played some acoustic basses that aren't as loud as it is unplugged, too. And it's not quite as big as it looks...

I've been trying to think of ways to de-metal it, though. Gay pride stickers would probably do the trick.

While we're here, this might be more ILF's thing (except maybe the Rat sticker-- it came with the pedal)

Image

I keep it hung on a wall, and it still works, sorta...

YOU ARE QUITE RIGHT, GOOD SIR.
I gotta ask though...is that a string tree at the first string?
And also...'sup with that fretboard near the higher frets?

You can't bump up the neck volume so that its as loud as the pickups in series...kind of against physics. You could have a resistor or something switched in when series is selected to lower the series options volume to match the neck though.

Also, I met Sheldon Dingwall today...that was cool. And I gave JoshB the patchbay as I've been a bad person...he said he'll get it to you either tomorrow or Sunday.
