Bojack Horseman was amazing. I wasn't expecting so much depth after the first few episodes. The show hole left in its absence has been of epic proportions.

Season 1 of Babylon 5 has been pretty dull thus far, though seems to be incorporating more grittiness and intrigue toward the conclusion of its first quarter. I'm not currently convinced this series lives up to its legendary status in the annals of space operadom.

The reboot of V seemed a bit disjointed before fully capturing my attention by the closing of the first episode. There are plot elements so far that differ from the OG 80's mini series (in a good way).

Manevolent was cool. The Haunting of Hill House is next on my list.

Also binged everything of The Good Place both on Netflix and elsewhere. Surprisingly good, really philosophical at points. Ya boi digs.

The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell is one of the weirdest things I've seen on TV since I don't know when. It's like a mashup of Pee Wee's Playhouse, The Munsters, The Muppet Show and Martha Stewart Living, except the Muppets want to fuck the humans, Martha shows you how she makes a cake that's too complicated for normal humans to create, and house guests suddenly get murdered.

I'm not really sure who this show is made for.

I watched the trailer for it and couldn’t figure out what the duck it was supposed to be about.

Sounds legendary .. I always kind of liked Meet the Feebles..

It is kinda like Martha Stewart, but most of the things she "shows you how to make" are so abbreviated and incomplete and complex, you just sit there kind of incredulous that she's pretending that you'll be able to, and she keeps saying shit like, "It looks tough, but it's actually quite simple."

Like, this is something just above the skill level of what's she's doing on the show. It was a cake for an event around that Queen movie that's coming out.

any fans of The OA? i'm planning on that next, know nothing about it, but heard it was interesting?

The OA was weird... it started out strong but the ending felt wrong.

The OA was pretty good. At times, I felt like it tried a little hard to be the next out there, mind fuck type of show. But overall, I enjoyed it.

I'm curious about this Curious Creations show. Sounds like the kind of thing I would be into.

The girlfriend and I just started watching Mindhunter and I'm really enjoying it so far. The actor playing the Co-ed Killer is great

I liked all of the OA a lot. I get the point about how maybe it was "trying too hard" to be mysterious, but I enjoyed the atmosphere and weirdness without thinking about it too heavily or trying to work anything out.

Mindhunter is great! A lot of good performances in the show.

The OA had some interesting ideas about cult psychology, which the writer/producer/star Brit Marling has explored in some of her other work. Her first film, The Sound Of My Voice, I think is somehow a flipside story to the OA. They both deal with extreme measures to force some kind of metaphysical outcome, but all the devices and safeguards are these low-tech rituals and devices. These rituals are essentially where I found many of my friends who viewed it as a dividing line between their suspension of disbelief, or their rejection of the story and why they don't like it.

Yeah I found the idea of ritual a really fascinating focus for the story. But I can imagine it would turn some people off.

I definitely want to check out more of Brit Marling's work.

Had no idea she was behind the show. Need to check it out now.
