Super>Doomidrive.

'splodetonez.

Occasionally a wah, but I'm pretty uncoordinated at anything other than playing the same chord for forty minutes at a time.

The way you worded this, for some reason, made me laugh while drinking coffee. Nice.

I have a beat up old Gibsonette from 1959 inbound, for which I am so excited.

I have a Gibson Skylark from around that same era. Great amp. I think you'll love the Gibsonette.

:thumb:

I've heard so much about the Skylarks. A lot of people swear by them. I reckon I'll adore it too, and I've desperately wanted one for a while. I'm the kind of guy who finds the Fender Blues Deluxe (that I waaay overpaid for) too complicated.

One volume knob, one tone, one channel? Yum yum.

Yeah, the Skylark is like the Gibson equivalent to the Fender Champ. Great, great amp.

Mine's down for the count right now. I smoked the transformer and have yet to replace it. One of these days.

Hello all... new here. This is what I'm working with currently:

Image
For guitar: Peavey Rock Master 120w tube head into a 300w Peavey 4x12 cab.

Image
For bass/noise: Acoustic b200h into an Ampeg 1x15 cab.

Image
For everything else and when I have to feel better about myself. Peavey 2x10+1x18 cab.

Image
Modded Valve Junior for the practice amp. Standby switch, JP1 mod (footswitchable), as well as a new output transformer.

Really should cut back one of these days, or not :)

That's all test equipment, right?

Wow, first group pic I've seen from the Riffer. Very nice sir! :thumb:

Fun Fact: I think Mark uses/used that little Epiphone Valve Jr for testing B.A.T. stuff, go figure...

Yeah, I had everything together on account of the move, so I thought it was perfect time to snap a pic. It is dispersed around now...
Yeah man, the Vjr is my everyday test amp with the emperor 212, so it has to sound good through that set up. I use the Bassman,Sunn and Dunwich when really tweeking stuff, then it has to also sound good through the small set up..

Head puts out 560 watts at 8 ohms, the cab is a 1x15" that weighs 27 lbs and can take a lot of that power. 32lbs in all...a shit ton of volume with great clarity. Hitting it with an Octave/Fuzz/LPF combo is massive sounding. This is the best rig I've owned let alone played through.

I rocked a first version MB2-500 (500 watts at 4ohms). I loved it's clean tone,...very hifi and GK and I really like the GK tone. I struggled to get it to take gain well though. Too much fuzz/OD/Feedback and it would go into safe shutdown mode in order to keep from frying the poweramp. That was my only gripe with it. It was an excellent grab and go amp for the more straight ahead/clean tone is all that's needed gigs I was playing a few years back.

I traded it with Behndy for his Drasp DL-4. Not sure if he is still rocking it.

That said,...I'm gonna start saving up for a Mesa Boogie 400+ for mah bass rig.
