Yeah, there's no way that's actually from '56. There's a thread on offsetguitars about this guitar, and the consensus there is the same.

I have wanted one of these for a few years, and this is the first time i have seen one used on ebay.

however they now have a newer version, instead of a standalone it can take a 1/4" input signal. so it's more like a crazy delay/ambiance processor deal. it is about 1250 new from folktek.
