So here I am drinking cheap beer and reading Lovecraft alone in my apartment. Am I just broken, or does anyone else have this problem?

Or (ohmyfuckingoddoomblasphemy). Keep it. Strats are kickass guitars. I blame clapton for becoming the most booring, bland, non threatening guitar icon ever for ruining the cool factor of strats. When strats get brought up the first thing forum guitarists think of is "blues lawyer". Not hendrix?!! Wtf. How did we allow what is damn near a perfect guitar design to be taken over by bland ass souless turds who can't write a decent riff if satan was sucking their dick.
Seriously, balance is perfect, trem can be used or not, set to float, or lay flat for better tuning stability, don't like singles? Swimming pool route that shit and put whatever in there. The only flaw in my mind is the pickguard should be a two piece deal like a jazz bass to make messing with the pots and all less of a thing. Great fucking guitars.

I agree with Axman.
You don't like strats?
Go and see Earthless live.
It will change your whole perspective.

nah...i dont like strats!
sorry...but i've never liked strats, from Clapton to SRV to Malmesteen even all the way to 8 string super strats...i've never liked the look of them. I even tried to prove myself wring by owning one for about a year...and i just couldn't get along with it.
Don't get me wrong...they are the perfect instrument completely Functional...weight, balance, versatility in tones, the bridge and trem system...everything on that guitar makes it a complete package and a workhorse of a guitar.
But I've never rated functionality that highly!
BTW: Sorry doctorpoopenstein420 i don't mean to diss your new acquisition...congrats on the strat bud!

Sweet score!!!! I don't mind strats..... if they're hardtail with a humbucker in the bridge and a big headstock.
I'm not really a fan of the dude whose sig guitar this is, but this guitar with all black hardware and a maple fretboard would be fucking TITTYBONKERS IMO.

Is that the Jim Root sig? I loved his sig tele when I had one. The neck on it was perfect. The only thing I'd like to change on it would be a passive pickup and a big headstock.
