Re: Let's see your BASS!
The fingerboard is a sapwood only selection of spalted purpleheart. It's tonally maybe a bit softer than maple, and slightly open grain but not nearly as much as most rosewoods.

Speaking of Roscoes, I just picked this up this afternoon![]()
The fingerboard (and finish as a whole) are way better than any photographs would lead you to believe. So good.
UGH miss my Roscoe already. Probably going to trade someone again. LOL

Re: Let's see your BASS!
Just finished upgrading this Squier VI I purchased for my brother's combo xmas/bday gift this year. It turned out really well.
New Parts Include:
-Staytrem bridge
-Upgraded trem assembly
-Gotoh Fender stamped tuners and conversion bushings
-LaBella Custom Round wound string set
-Black pearl pickguard
-Knobs
-Oversize strap button
-Neck shim
Plays very well, feels much more solid with great tuning stability compared to stock status. Had to utilize the warranty immediately to rectify a bad nut and 7 high frets. Oh, and the pickups sound pretty great, def hotter than those in my Custom Shop Bass VI. Quiet too. Only complaint is they get kinda "clangy" sounding but that can be dialed out with the tone knob.
Looks badass and sounds far better than I was expecting.

nice assortment, you can cover a LOT of ground with that. I'm kinda going for something similar with my basses, I like a little bit of everything
