Yeah, those are in a bag. I switched them because I got complaints about the brightness the first time I used it at practice. It fucking rips.

yeah.. probably shouldn't have used those super bright leds... glad you dig it!

Just so you know its not that I didn't like it we just trade gear all the time to try out...and apparently it meshes with julius's setup more than mine.

Thanks! I'm collecting ideas for a DIY board so in the next week or two they'll be all mounted up. Needs more delay tho. I'll probably add my Harmonic perc and DL4.

ONLY because I have more than enough fuzz/dirt right now.
There's one for cheap around my area.
Can you get slower phaser tones out of it? or should I hold out for a Whetstone?
I'm into the octave up too, just don't know how much I'd use it, plus one of my fuzz's has a subtle octave up already.

The Crystal Dagger is an absolutely fantastic pedal. I use it all the time, and is the perfect marriage of two very unique sounds. The fuzz is intense, either being scooped, deep and smooth, or bright, honky and thin. But what's awesome is how you can still hear your clean tone through the noise. It sounds like Blackout Effectors installed a clean blend into the circuit and set it at a permanent level. It creates wonderful textures and helps maintain a sense of musicality despite the high levels of saturation and dramatic frequencies. The upper octave is perfect for adding additional flavour and intensity. The filter knob allows you to tame some of the upper highs and bring in some bass to compensate and better balance the tone and feel.

The modulation side doesn't go super slow like a Goatkeeper, but it's slow enough. It's very crystalline, as said already, sweeping with great clarity and shimmer. The ring modulation side is extremely easy to dial in, and this is where the blend knob comes in handy. Truly awesome pedal. I honestly didn't think I'd like it so much and wish I'd bought it sooner.

Sounds wicked.
Just wanted a Whetstone originally... Don't know if I should hold out or pull the trigger on the Crystal Dagger.
I feel like I would end up wanting more options with the ring mod/phaser.

I haven't had a chance to use it with my regular amp yet, but I'm totally loving it, especially for 145 (clearance at GC).

It has the coolest tuner I've ever used (presets!). I has some cool models I haven't seen on multi effects before (hold delay, combo effects).
I like that the looper has a progress bar, and BEST OF ALL, since it's a USB interface, if I record a loop I like, I can just plug it in and record it.
Oh, and each effect and patch has its own level, so no worries about volume drop!

I wish the expression pedal could be set to control more than one setting at a time or that there could be more than one, but it's pretty damn great for the size and price.

The only reason I don't own a Crystal Dagger is the size. It's one of the greatest pedals I've ever used.

I had a Whetstone before. I must say, I wasn't that impressed. I found it unintuitive to use and it didn't sit well in my loop. But the Crystal Dagger's modulation side sounds waaaaaay different. The new Blackout phaser seems like a combination of both the modulation of the CD and the Whetstone.

Sibling phaser is great
On slower settings it feels like a filter effect mixed with a phaser.
