I'm glad I don't have any street cred.

Brody Dalle turned into a sex symbol and the commercialism crept in. Even still I have the Hellcat Give Em the Boot Sampler this tune was originally on (CD? What's that?) and this song (among a lot of the other tunes) instantly popped out as being good IMO.

I've seen him live some 9 or 8 years ago. That was one of the most tripped out shows I've ever seen. But the records never did anyting for me.
