been on the fence about a Crystal Dagger for a while...
ONLY because I have more than enough fuzz/dirt right now.
There's one for cheap around my area.
Can you get slower phaser tones out of it? or should I hold out for a Whetstone?
I'm into the octave up too, just don't know how much I'd use it, plus one of my fuzz's has a subtle octave up already.

The fuzz side has a "silicon" grit feel to it in a good way. If that makes sense. I have not yet fallen in love with the octave up because it gets chaotic when playing chord type stuff. You can't vary the gain of the fuzz circuit either. Just volume. I really like the ring mod side with other fuzz pedals too. It can go from phaser to crystalline ring mod.

Yes you can get slower phaser tones on it, and even more faster tones but it doesn't have a lot of shaping options which I ended up wanting. How cheap is the one in your area? you could probably break even on it if it was a good price if you ended up not liking it :idk:

need to build a bigger board... :grumpy:

Hey Schlatte is this a Gorm shelf from Ikea you're using for your board? I have the one that's 3 rows across. I'm running out of room and I was curious about what your thoughts on this size one are. I'm concerned about how easy it would be to step on everything and how easy it would be to carry around. Thanks :)*

True! I think he wanted $160 for it? I'll have to look again, it was late last night when I seen it.

My mistake, $180. They retail for around $240, don't they?

Yes. They're pretty hard to come by, when I bought mine I couldn't find one used so I waited for a sale. That being said there's 2 in the BST right now I think.

Yeah, it's a Gorm. Stepping on stuff isn't a problem for me (I have pretty long feet  ). But it would be easier if you rise the top row a bit. carrying it around is.. well.. yeah. You just carry it around.. idk what you mean? If you want a case or something for it you would probably have to get one made... I don't know if there are any cases that come in this size.

What I meant to ask was: is it too wide or long to carry by yourself? too heavy with a bunch of pedals on it?
Thanks!

Nah, it's fine.. but that's rather subjective. If you're smaller it sure is a bit wide... but yeah.. it isn't too heavy.

Oh let's see... what I'm working with at the moment:
AB-Synth ---> POG2 ---> Behringer Reverb Machine (passable Verbzilla clone) ---> MXR Carbon Copy (etched by Dan) ---> Dr. Trem (custom vinyl) ---> custom Mom D fuzz (bronzetalon's) ---> VP Jr. ---> Zoom G3

Yeah, those are in a bag. I switched them because I got complaints about the brightness the first time I used it at practice. It fucking rips.
