Hell yeah. DM-2 time

I just got the DM-2 like half an hour ago. When I first plugged it in, it was apparent to me that somebody who had no idea what they were doing has changed the trimpots. They didn't even really extend the delay time much, they just kindof messed up the bias so that it had a really annoying high pitched whine at anything but really short delay times.
So I fixed it and now it sounds pretty freaking amazingly good. But the LED isn't working so I'm a little annoyed about the seller telling me it works perfectly

Nice DM-2! I've always wanted one but recently got an old Ibanez AD9 which I think sounds pretty damn similar.

Needs to be on just one more page. Jeez man. Buy some of my synth stuff will you?
i thought i already did haha
the minitaur sounds amazing jordan. loving the portability too.
Shish wrote:Incredible. How do you use your synth stuff?
typically a minitaur bassline sequenced by the dark time. on top of that i play the dark energy 2 and that gets effected by the foogers.
the drone boxes for noise blasts/background drones/hums

beautiful. always wanted a DM2 but could never bring myself to pay THAT much for so little delay time (not big on slapback, i love my long echoes). i do miss my ad9pro

Well yeah, but not nearly enough! Need dat prophet 12.

And it does sound amazing, I was just annoyed by the limit in range so now I run a slim phatty instead for portability but it doesn't nail the basses like the minitaur does, really. Glad to hear you're enjoying it though!

Had the same problem with my AD-9. Kind of why I got rid of it.

I haven't compared them directly, but the DM-2 gets more feedback. It seems like the repeats go on forever. The AD-9 gets longer delay times, but that's just because I have the Pro model which has an extra BBD chip added.

The long echoes on this are amazing. I'll do a video or something.

I haven't thought about selling it or anything yet. I'd like to keep it but we'll see if it becomes overly redundant.

Question about AD9s : Do any of you have trouble running boosted signal into it?
I have the Keeley modded one, and sometimes if it receives a boosted signal it sounds like it cant handle it.
And not in a good way.
Also what annoys me with mine is that it oscillates much easier on low notes than brighter ones.
Something that works in the upper register can begin to oscillate when I use full chords etc.
Is this normal with them? Or something I can adjust?

I had this problem with my Maxon ad-9. I got rid of it immediately.

If I turned a pedal up loud enough to make my AD-9 clip, my bandmates would get mad at me. But through my practice amp at home I have that problem because then I slam it with louder fuzz.
You'd probably prefer an AD-80, DM-2, or Deluxe Memory Man, Myrrh

Just paint a dick onto the Dano pedal and it'd be fine.
