I waiting for the list of complaints from people who never received their pedals because of Devi's boo-boo tummy, sugar ant in the eye or some other bullshit excuse why she spent the money and their shit out of luck.

Seriously, anyone who is dumb enough to trust this person with a pre-order sale.... I have a bridge in brooklyn to sell ya.

Isn't that a violation of the non-compete?

I don't think she really cares, and her self-described financial situation suggests that there's not anything to gain from pursuing it.

Honestly, this whole thing just consistently pisses me off considering I've spent the last month job hunting like crazy so I can keep my house and actually buy groceries while Devi just whines and sits on her ass and people throw money at her.

Does Devi have to pay taxes on the money she solicits on gofundme?

Yes you have to pay taxes on crowd funding money. It is considered income.

Honestly my biggest hesitation in doing the crowd funding campaign I did a while back was that I couldn't get past the fact that it seemed like begging.

There are definitely people who take it to the extreme though. The very notion that the world owes you money so you can keep your place, amongst other things that have been crowd funded by certain people, is such a slap in the face to people out there working their asses off.
She's not serious at this point. She's manipulating people with the constant stream of drama, "the world is against me", etc etc. Until people stop giving money and stop paying attention she will never get serious.

that really depends on what the P is seeking. It's generally only small claims court that has a restriction to cash award for damages, other courts can compel actions.
With, for instance, a non-compete agreement, a court can issue an injunction (enjoin) ordering a party to do something like refrain from engaging in the competing enterprise.

So the deadbeat defense "sue me because I don't have any money" isn't always a do-what-you-want card

True, but the Dwarfcraft would have out of pocket expenses of lawyer bills...
Making it not really an option.
