first time i tried them

i sat in my lecture in the back with my friend throwing them in the air and catching them to kill time

Wampler Pinnacle came today (2007 version that Burgs demoed) and i'm seriously not sure if i don't like it more than my DLS

so the battle of drives begins

(i can test and compare until fall... )

(i don't suppose i'd keep both of them)

edit: accepted to an university, sadly not the one i want to attend... for that i'll have to make one more test (english) and wait another two weeks or so... but it's good to have solid backup :)

accepted is good...at least you're covered. you can always transfer later if you can't get your first choice now, yes?

i was out and about today, and since i was over the hill i stopped by the Santa Clara branch of Starving Musician, our local buy-and-sell music emporium, to look for cheap effects and generally amuse myself/try to cheer myself up. i found the PERFECT bass--a MIM Fender fretless Jazz Bass with lines on the fingerboard--for $350, and since they buy/sell/trade i can take my old Fender Mike Dirnt P-Bass, which is OK but terrible for my bad back since it weighs a ton, and some of my unwanted stompboxes and get the cost down to a level a po' boy can afford. so i can actually have the bass i've wanted ever since i learned to play bass on a US version of the same model, lines and all, in the Jazz Improvisation course back at City College of San Francisco in the mid-80s :!!!: :!!!: :!!!:

Damn tootin'

For a super-limited release that's been hyped up, buy em at retail, sell em for at least $100 more...They sell out in a couple minutes though, so you have to be on your game.

No matter how much my subconcious tries, I just can't bring myself to regret buying a new amp.

swapped my stuff; got the Jazz Bass for $80. i'm a happy kitty :yay:

appears to have been made in Mexico in 1996. vintage white yellowed to a lovely ivory color, w/b/w pickguard. you'd be amazed how much crap comes off a fretless bass fingerboard when you clean it. I HAZ A HAPPEE
