With you on the warped vinyl. I coaxed some incredible sounds out of that thing, but was left with twiddle fatigue that ultimately made me step away from it altogether. Such a powerful tool though, for those with the focus. Moved on to a instant lo-fi junky which has been like a warped vinyl for dummies for me. Only a fraction of the possibilities are there, but I can access them quickly and it sounds fucking great.

Is the instant lo fi Junky muddy or too dark? I really miss my old WV mkII. I like a little sparkle in my warble.

It compresses like crazy. I hated it, personally.

So I have a Boss CE2 that won't turn on and I have no clue why? It was on my board working one day and now it doesn't. Still passes signal when bypassed though? It just won't turn on.

I had a CE-2 that kinda did that. The LFO crapped out in it. I wasn't smart enough to poke around in it and ended up selling it for like 20 bucks.

at 5 minutes and 32 seconds there's some thing in the bottom left corner that the guitarist is using as some kind of phrase sampler i think?

Looks like an EHX 16 second Digital Delay based off the sliders and shape. No clue though.

Has toneknob so you can adjust your mud/sparkle accordingly. Can get pretty sparkly. As the vibrato peaks the sparkle kind of sustains which is cool.

I have a hard time crucifying a compression/vibrato pedal for compressing, plus you can dial it out. I do wish my fuzz cleaned up better though. if only someone would have told me muffs make lousy clean boosts

I have one that did the same thing, opened it up and saw that one of the pots had rotated so far that the lugs were contacting the enclosure. I spun it back into place and the pedal works fine!

I rolled the lofi/compression knob all the way to the lofi side and it's still super compressed to my ears (and Eivind's).

In one of my bands the other members keep asking me to get a clean boost. I should get a muff.

I hear you brother. Modulation is a highly personal thing. Like picking out a new bra or something. Been putting the junky after a ad4096 and getting drool worthy results, so I am down, compressed or not.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's shit or anything, just not my kind of sound coloration. Also, I'm stealing that bra allegory.

Yeah the instant lofi is definitely very compressed and you aren't given any control over it. However it is very colorful, it's just one color. So if you don't like that color then you probably won't like the pedal. I was into it personally, a big reason i like dirt pedals is because they do some compressing and have a colored tone, just like the lofi. It's also setup dependent too, I would imagine it works well on darker amps.

I've been watching videos of the DBA Ghost Delay with synths and drum machines and I'm getting very excited that I somehow won one on the cheap. Fuck this thing looks cool.
