Motherfucker. I just broke the wires to my input jack on my bass. The jack was loose and I was trying to tighten it by hand. I ended up turning the whole thing around and broke the wires. And I dont have a soldering iron ATM. So now I have to go pay someone else to solder 2 connections. 30 seconds of work and it'll probably cost 15-20 bucks. Maybe not though. I was on a writing streak too goddammit. Gonna smoke a bowl and pass out angry.

you can buy a soldering iron for 7-8 bucks and then you can break your output jack all you want

im going to. ill have to get it off Amazon. the radio shack here shut down a couple months ago.

Any hardware store [such as ACE] should have one if you don't want to wait for shipped

Oh, didn't think about that.

I want to go ahead and get everything I'll need to some simple pedal builds while I'm there. Been wanting to start doing it for a while and I have some soldering experience. And that's what I'm going to school for. Might as well get some practice.

Just drove 20 minutes to an open jam. Walked in with my bass and put my name on the list. Sat down, sipped a beer. they asked the bass player to step down for a bit so I could play. He said one more song. 3 songs later, they asked him again. He unplugged and left. And took the only bass amp with him. End of jam.
