Got a new lady friend?

No. Just been bothering me how out of shape I have gotten since I started smoking again. I lost 10 pounds.

Yeah, that'll happen. If you quit you'll gain it back fast enough--that's usually why most people don't quit

I essentially partied Thursday-Sunday, and now I'm straight back to working. I feel like I've been Microwaved.

Hopefully. I lost 10 pounds of mostly muscle, so it not a good thing.

Bottle of water, multi-vitamin, coffee, orange Gatorade. :thumb:

feeling sick, exhausted and miserable. i'm afraid the late night i had Friday, when i went to help a friend load in/out for his jazz gig, totally threw me off. i've been going to sleep at like 8:30 because of my depression, and i feel absolutely awful. i'm dying for today to be over so i can lay down. and it's one of the first really nice days of the spring, too. :idk:

Found out earlier today that a girl I knew in college but who I hadn't kept in touch with died in a motorcycle accident.

And since I quit smoking, I once again can't sleep at night. As awful as they are for you, cigarettes at least help me sleep.

stuck in a weird situation with my job...they're trying to keep me available for piecemeal SQL training, and as a result have me doing more or less nothing. this is driving me crazy, constantly looking over my shoulder and bored as all hell. i just want to go home and sleep. all i ever want to do any more is sleep. sleep is the next best thing to not being here...the drawback is that you have to wake up.

How many hours a week do you work dub kitty? Maybe find a second bullshit job just to get out of the house? Sometimes when I get sick of life ill get a bullshit job. Gets me out, forces me to meet new people, and gives me extra cash for gear! Fuck even a job at McDonald's would get you out, and force you into new situations, plus if you get sick of it and leave , you might enjoy your personal time more. For whatever reason I like getting a shitty job when times are down. Makes me appreciate my time more.

Having a hard time finding a drummer. I could also use a better bassist, but that's kind of a negligible point this early on. I'm a huge pusher of melodically complex basslines (stuff that actually emphasizes the chord structure and/or contains a counterpoint melody that doesn't detract from the feel, instead of just the root note) but he's a pretty new bassist, so I won't be able to write fun stuff until he gets better or replaced.

But he's a definite, and a friend, so I can deal with that for the early stages of getting shit together.
