skullservant just finished my Black Acid clone. LaoWiz designed and etched the enclosure. Looks so fucking sick, pure tag-team-build success. Thanks dudes!
Oh, it also has a super cool turquoise LED courtesy of Dr. Scientist cuz he rules and hooked me up with a few awhile back. Been sitting on 'em til now.

Gotta love a V4 tho, I'd take one of those over any Orange reissue for sure.
Finally got mine out of our jam spot and back home actually. It's an early 70's model, sounds fucking killer but weighs so goddman much ugh! Gonna fix it up a bit cosmetically, found an original nameplate and such, but the electronics are original and clean as fuck (Sylvainia 7027a tubes included) plus it functions flawlessly for now. Do love.

I've dug their work for a couple of years now. The prices are right and the woods and stains used are clearly very rare and special.

Things happened very quickly. I bought the V4 off a guy that's going through a terrrrrrible divorce and needed to sell stuff to have money. He's the original owner of it, bought it new in 83? and had it serviced four months ago. All new tubes too. It was so incredibly sad.
Yours looks siiiiiiick! And that LAOWIZ. UNGH.

My parents have been apart for close to eight years now, but because of very strict laws in Ireland, they weren't illegible for legal divorce until five years after confirmed separation. But even after the five years past, my Dad was just being really...awkward...about it. My Mum was no better, really, but in a different kind of way. She would nag him to sort out a solicitor. He would come up with an excuse to not bother. She would get mad at him. He would retract and walk away. Blah Blah Blah. But last Tuesday they finally got divorced. And because of how long it's taken and because of all the hassle with the house they co-owned together, it's cost them both thousands and thousands in fees. So many people marry with the forethought that they could simply divorce if it doesn't work out. But they soon learn how much of a ball ache that can be.

Been through a divorce myself. And I can see that having to wait for five years until you are legal to do it will make it more difficult than necessary. Is that an example of irish catholicism?

Yeah, those circumstances def suck for that guy but couldn't have worked out better for you. I know a guy that got his EGC in much the same manner. The guy sold it one day after it arrived cuz the divorce was in full swing by then. Pretty tragic. Bottom line, at least you were helping the guy out in a time of need and the amp will go to a loving home and be truly appreciated for it's utter awesomeness. Unless you go throwing a bass at it in the heat of the moment that is...

And you made an excellent choice! V4s are hard to beat, one of my favorite amps ever. I'm getting old tho so thinking about trading mine to the guy who sold it to me for his all original and insany clean V2. He's putting up a fight but it took me almost five years to get the V4 from him and it was one of two backups he owned. Fucking vintage Ampeg hoarder!

Possibly. Maybe the same reason why abortion is illegal here too. To be honest, man, despite their faults and drawbacks, I agree with the laws. Divorce is terrible and shouldn't be taken lightly. This is at least one way to ensure that couples recognize what they're getting themselves in to.

I should point out that divorce is sometimes necessary. When someone is unfaithful or abusive, that should be the only grounds for divorce. If you don't love each other any more, sometimes I think you have to be selfless and deal with it. I know it's a really tough way of looking at, but being a kid in a broken household has left its mark.

Let's derail the GAS thread!!!
I would not even think that it is necessary in any case, or possible. Even after having been on the bad end of unfaithfulness I would still be married to my ex-wife. Not that I still love her or that I want to live in the same household, but there is a sort of symbolism in a marriage for me that just cannot be broken. I will probably stay married to her for the rest of my life on some level, even though there is no love between us any more and we are legally divorced. I totally agree with you on the point that people should just pull themselves together and stay in it. I also think that on some mystic level there can never be a divorce. Any way, we both try for the best for our daughter that is possible under the circumstances, I do not have first hand experience, but I might have a second-hand-idea about being from a broken household. Nothing I want for anyone.
The only reason we did divorce was financial, bureaucratic shit. Why some people (idiots) only get married. But it is a pain in the ass to be seen as one entity by the state when really you are not. Made me sore in the end. My take on it is to not have those legal distinctions at all, it would save people a lot of trouble. Let society handle that. People can get married in church, why take it to a administration?

I could tell he almost cried at several moments when describing the amp. But, thankfully, I wasn't taking away his only amp. He still had a JCM2000, and one of those new egnaters. PLUS, he owned a PRS Double Eagle. So, like, you know.
I plugged it into my 8x10 and was just immediately satisfied with my purchase.
