oog. so many reasons.

they have all the pedal monies and a spot to make and push interesting things and all they do is rehashes of old stuff or combinations of their shitty products into crappy multis or an interesting idea that is executed horribly. it's like they don't even play their stuff before they release it. weird power supplies, way too large of boxes, butt ass fuggly designs.

and i guess their QC's gotten better but they used to break all the time.

They make a lot of pedals that appear to be awesome, but then when you play them, they sound tacky and cheap. So I agree that they could spend extra time in R&D to perfect the sounds and features before releasing a new pedal. But they still are basically the only company putting out behemoths like the POG2 and Superego, probably their two best pedals. And they have the tap-tempo DMM, which I will be picking up when I can. I don't care about fancy chips, so I wish they used cheaper electronics whilst still including all the useful features and analog repeat quality.

Their knobs are fuggly, definitely, but some of their pedals look cool, and I dig the sliders. The funky power supplies are becoming a thing of the past, it seems.

f'realz. it's just a personal hate really. i'm more annoyed at the wasted potential i guess? people i know are awesome players like some of their stuff, so they're doing SOMEthing right, but i kinda hate them. only thing i've ever played of theirs i thought was all the way done and really cool was the Freeze/Sooper Dooper Ego.
