Made this small (tribal?) guitar jam messing with the Bitquest Ringmod and the Atmosphere Ring Mod Reverb modifying various loops, hope you enjoy it.
All sounds are from guitar and pedals, just added a bit of reverb with Ableton for ambience.

Here at Dead End FX, we're currently busy resurrecting the Royal Cosmo Wah.

If you think that the Mold Spore was a cool idea, this is the genesis. Lost, but not forgotten.

Don't know what this's exactly, but it's probably pretty interestin' soundin':

"This the prototype of a pedal called the Portal. It combines a synthy square wave distortion with a unique and intense ring modulation and pseudo pitch shifter type effect. There are strange other dimensional alien voices in this things! The toggle switch allows you to select between just square wave distortion, distortion with ring modulation or distortion with pseudo pitch shifting. The THRESHOLD control allows you to fine tune the gating effect of the circuit. It's has tons of OUTPUT on tap. The Portal may or may not end up being regular in the Mountainking line.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Alan"

As soon as I saw DeadEnd comment of effects database's IG post about this, I had to post some encouragement. Glad you guys are doing this. I'm pretty excited!

The trace and breadboard test are conclusive. It's now in Phil's hands for PCB design. This will be a Dunlop wah shell drop in board design, similar to the Tresonator. The beauty is that the 100k Hot Potz works really well with it, so no need to try tracking down the vaporware M100k that the original uses. Other than that, we've replaced a resistor with a trimmer to allow for fine tuning of the ringmod vibe mix.

I think I saw the PCBs on instagram for the Cosmic, :!!!:

Went and looked to see if you all listed 'em in the web store and was kinda sad haha. Still got the two other DeadEndFX ring mod boards to build someday.

That pic is from the factory. Boards are inbound as I type.

Awesome! I thought that was a quick turnaround. It still is extremely speedy and one of the fastest I've actively watched.

Finally finished the validation build tonight. Late night headphone test is extremely promising. I'm not hearing any carrier noise or whining when I'm not playing. Full power trials slated for tomorrow.

OK, had a moment to make a quick sound snippet video of the Cosmo King. Still in my jam-jams, which I think is a precursor for the day.

I figured out why it was popping when I switched modes. It's because I had the Laika in front, and on. Doesn't like that.

I thought I would be getting way more carrier bleed through when I wasn't playing, but surprisingly, it's actually preeeetty quiet.
