Thanks
That's an awesome organ tone and great tune :thumb:
Im terrible at name that effect...but If i were trying to cop that sound with guitar, I just tried running my DBA Space Ring set to a low tremolo speed with a VOX Repeater set to highest speed into it to good effect. Because the VOX is plugged into the guitar the speed control is right there to adjust for that slowing down speed shift he gets t the end of a phrase. I also tried using the judder to cool effect but it was more glitchy than round sounding like on the track.

That's a good way to approach it effects wise. I bet it'd sound great.

Really hate to look on this thread sometimes. IT just cost me ... I ordered the fuzz mutant after listening to this clip.

For a "rat" based pedal, the treble and bite at the beginning was really nice. And of course, a bit of possessed always spices things up.

yeah the ones I got to play seemed to share a house sound of being rich harmonically dense. I want to get his Os mutantes too :joy:

It gets pretty fuzzy too for a rat. I really liked its low gain setting a lot too. Really versatile pedal :omg:

Shore Bird is probably the most versatile "Rat" I've ever played.

Doesn't get as raunchy as something like the Blower Box, but it's way more versatile.

I'm always wary of rats because I got talked into one years ago (for my band) and the thing was the fartiest/muddiest thing I ever used in front of my sovtek (mind you it was an early 2000s model). Probably why I started looking for stuff with treble and bite. I was fighting the bass player from hell though, signal-wise. I still have it because I colored it with crayon so it didn't get stolen at the studio.

Really good to know, though and I surprised myself by liking something based off a rat.

Have you demoed the catalinbread echorec, UG? I was playing with it earlier and I thought you'd really dig it. You probably have, but I had to ask either way. Pair it with the Octavedrone and RM-1N. HNNNGH!!!

No...I have a Binsen Model 2 at the studio, and an Infanem Small Echo Array and Gurus Echosex 2. Those are both based on the Binsen and they sound completely different from one another but both actually capture certain aspects of the tape delay really well. I would think the echorec would be closer to the Infanem cause it allows for different rhythmic head combos too. I do have a Catalinbread Belle Epoch which is based on the EP-3...i bought it to use as a stand in for my EP-2 and it's not really close at all sonically but decided to keep it for the crazy modulations that's possible. I don't really like these digital tape emulations pedals so much compared to the real deal but I think they will work when I start playing out again. I used to take my tape delays to gigs but they are old and getting more dear to me so I grabbed a new fulltone tte to gig with cause it's built like a tank and is a tubed tape echo like my EP-2. I just scored a WEM copicat which is a tubed tape echo which has multiple heads too like the Binsen Echorec. :joy:

Yeah, its a very well received pedal. I bet it sounds great with an octave drone and rm-1n :thumb:
