I got the new guy yesterday... so stoked.
I played it all day, it's got dat low end and dat sustain.
Really diggin' the single coils with the pedals and amps I'm using.
It honestly runs circles around the grabber in every category... I hate to say it.
I got it for $400 and didn't have to pay any customs fees etc on it. Hell yeah!
It's in great shape and has the original hardcase too.
I hate being lefty, I need to find one in lefty. It's the coolest bass though, and a great price... had to do it.

Weird pickup, weird bridge, excellent EB style.

Picked this Gretsch up today. It sounds super throaty and I'm totally not used to it after playing with my Precision for these last couple months. I have to play around with the pickups and my gear to dial in the sound more. Not sure if it will be a keeper but it is pretty cool.

It's got one of the old Teisco-style foil pickups that really growls. Sounds awesome with the fuzzes!
The bridge is super strange...It's meant to have a cover on it, but that got lost somewhere over the years...
It's super light, neck is straight as an arrow, and it had a setup right before it went on sale.
Not too shabby for $100.
