shoot me a PM. I'll mail you one of the extra extensions I have for a one spot for the cost of shipping. If you need a one spot, too, I'll mail you that for a couple bucks.

Yes, but that was also Andrew of AM! which made it an easy sell. I could of gotten that from him before he posted that too but turned it down at the time. Anyways, there aren't many Blueline SVT's either and the few there also sparked a lot of quick interests. The one on there now for $1500 is the one I'm looking at buying since it's semi-local. Plus I might be able to sell it for more if I pair it with my flatback 810. On top of that, it seems the guy selling the Meatsmoked changed his ad from head only for $1500 to now wanting to sell head AND cab for $2200. So at this point I'm really considering the SVT. And again, hoping I can even use it as trade bait if I ever happen to run across an old OR200 or just sell it if/when I get something like that built. Or even keep it and just have more amps. Oh god. I need to stop talking now.

If I didn't already love this forum, this post fixed that. Laughed so hard I farted.
As for RF, my sentiment on it is entirely selfish. I just love smaller crowds and venues. Of course I wish them all the success in the world.

Agreed. Weird to see them on network television but they sounded great. I'm not too worried about them outgrowing the club scene.
pedlol. Fucking lava solderless.
You always have the raddest most compact board. I dig it. I think I'd like to mess around with a ditto sometime to see if it would work with my setup now. I just picked up a Small Clone again. I miss having one to modulate my delays with. Now I just need to find a reverb.

thats mighty nice…what do you think of the Laney GH50? nice cleans? and good for pedals?
Cleans aren't half bad. I don't run it clean very often. Definitely use it for the distortion it already produces. It is iffy with pedals. Works with my Supercollider rather well. I have ran a Black Forest through it and it was rather glitchy and overly muddy. The 100 watt version may be better suited for pedals since it should have more head room.
so, what are thoughts on these old Selmer amps? it has a normal input and a bass input…i hear some nice clean tones on youtube, and apparently take pedals really well.
Nice turntable, Nick! I've been looking into an amp setup for my music setup for a minute now, can you cook up some hot shit for me or what? Old McIntosh clone or something tastey? Eh?

chillerthanmost wrote:Dude wants $1500 for a '71 blueline, fresh caps and tune up, plus a road case. I've never been into SVT's so I don't know what they go for. This just kinda popped up. I have around $1000 of non used gear I could sell, so essentially I'll only throw down $500 out of pocket once it all sells.
I would love a 2000s but if I can't keep up with my YBA-3, and I also couldn't keep up with my 140w Univox, I'm not sure a 2000s would cover enough ground. I have a 200s right now and it's far far from able to keep up on bass (though it's super dreamy on guitar). I'm also killing a few decibels given I'm using a sealed cab (vintage 810) compared to a vented one, which do make my YBA-3 much louder than my 8x10. I used to keep up when I had my Univox (140w) with my Acoustic 408.... but again, I wanna keep my 810 since sealed is my preferred choice. Specially for the faster type of jams we play (link in sig if interested).
There's a Meatsmoke in my area for the same price (sans road case) but that would be essentially the same as the SVT in volume/power. But given I've never cared big for SVT type amps (including the Meatsmoke), at least enough to research them and play, I thought perhaps the SVT will be easier to flip if I don't dig it and/or use as trade bait for something else like a Hiwatt or Matamp 200 if the opportunity came up?
Ugh, I don't mean to bog down the doom room with my bass shit issues/ignorance. Perhaps I'll start a doom specific bass thread(?).
I know you already seem to be leaning to the SVT but just to reiterate what was said here, SVTs are fuckin tits. Either will be rad though. Fuck, now I'm trying to talk myself outta buying that meatsmoke. I don't need another amp. I don't need another amp. I don't need another amp. But fuck my Dunwich 200 watter in stereo with the Meatsmoke - that just sounds perfect!

that Meat Smoke ad isn't even on CL anymore. It's been up for weeks though, I'm sure it just expired. I'm still waiting for the dude with the SVT to get back to me about a pickup/meetup. We were emailing pretty consistently than it just stopped last night. I might be selling my Marshall cab tomorrow morning, so if I do I'll most likely be grabbing that SVT if the dude can meet up / still has it.
