THAT PARTICLE. I really wanna try one, hit me up on PM. Unless you meant trade entire boards for a bit, in which case that would be cray cray on shipping since I live on the other side of the planet.
Boxbie wrote:PM me if/when you decide to flip the spring theory (yes you are infamous!)!

Ok, I will.

And the mini polytune does everything I'd expect it to do, good visibility, fast tuning, small footprint. I went from a strobostomp clunker to this, so I can't really say I have any complaints.

I wouldn't bother if you had the space to spare, the only reason my board is that neat is because the pedals are locked in some kind of stasis from the number of them I tried to fit on that tiny-ass board.

fungalattack wrote:Collin, that makes me happy that you have both a RRR and a spring theory. I would have all possible verb needs covered with those two pups. I'm considering trading the ghost echo for the spring theory - it seems like it can get more ambient and atmospheric.
The RRR and Spring Theory really do complement each other well. I was planning on using the RRR as my more over the top verb, and the Spring Theory for more subtle spring reverb sounds. Well I discovered how great the Spring Theory sounds on room mode with both reverb and depth almost cranked. Super ambient and atmospheric. So the RRR is back to more subdued verb most of the time now. I really like both, honestly either would be a great choice for anyone looking for a new reverb pedal.

I wasn't sure on the red knobs initially myself, I thought it was a little too much and was thinking of swapping them out for black. But I must say the red knobs have really grown on me, they'll most likely stay.

Awesome board! I like that you have both an RRR and spring theory too. But you have the one RRR finish I like more than my murderberator. If I ever see one of those mini off the air RRRs for sale again, I'll definitely snag it and flip mine (which would make it my fourth RRR).

Josh Pelican wrote:vrom, your fuzz board is insane. I just said something about it on TalkBass. The board I'm working on will just have two fuzz pedals, a tuner, a compressor, and maybe a Micro-Thumpinator.
Maybe I'll take the compressor off for another fuzz...
... and instead of a Thumpinator, I'll get some more fuzz.
Thanks! I like your attitude sir! Fuzz for everyone!!!

Keeping it this way for a while. I've about given up on 'distortion' pedals. I'll stick with fuzz...

I think I'll add a boost to the end eventually. For now, the buffer will do.
El Oso no workie out?
No, though I do like it.
It is kinda redundant on my board given all the other fuzzstortion I have available, and with the Faye Sing's ability to alter the character of the signal so much. I was hoping for a stand alone and stand out distortion effect, but compared to what I already have, the Oso disappears in the background.
I was glad to try it out though. If no one wants it, I'll probably put it back on the board. Maybe... I do tend to move on if an effect doesn't amaze and delight me with my other gear, like right away.

Hmm maybe put the superdelay sideways to squeeze a phaser on there?

But that is the best board i've seen in pages!

Would be pretty tough to hit all the footswitches if they were sideways I'm afraid.

That Trem is the funkiest cuty i have seen, where'd you find those coloured knobs.
I'm craving knobs right now, too give my existence some more colour.

Working on measurements for my new board. I'm hoping to build this one myself for cheaper than buying another one.
PT Nano is 14" long.
PT Mini is 20" long.
Iron Pig - 4.7"
Rat Tail - 4.7"
Tuner - 2.7"
M87 - 2.7" (I think)
Right there I have roughly 14.2", so it would potentially fit on the Nano with a little hangover. However, I want to add the Micro-Thumpinator, so I'm thinking a 16" board would be perfect.
If I remove the Rat Tail and buy a small boost/OD pedal, I could potentially stick with 14". But at this point I'm thinking about just keeping the Rat and the Iron Pig together. That way I won't be tempted to run out and buy a Nano because I'm lazy.
Now... to figure out material! I really don't know where to start. Do I just go with painted wood? Should I cover it in vinyl? Plastic laminate? Ultimately, if I'm going to build my own board, I'l like to have latches on it so I can attach a top to it for travel.
I like the look of this:

I'd probably go for more of a flat board, or even just a slight incline (like a 15 degree angle).
Here's another sweet looking board/case:
http://www.activebass.com/m729500--Home ... Board-caseFor power, I currently have a OneSpot and a daisy chain. I'll either stick with that, or sneak a Fuel Tank Jr. or an ISO-5 underneath.
I just really don't know where to begin. I've never built anything like this before. I've only assembled one pedal board, which was basically just putting velcro onto metal.

Grainy photo of recent home set-up, bass. Just got to the first layer of possibillities of the Slice, but like it for the synthy-pulses wuth some Oxide goodness into it.
