I just got back from my riding my bike at night, it's currently 2:30am. Here in utah they are good at paving roads in the middle of nowhere, so I rode for miles without passing a single house under a clear star-filled sky. It was spectacular.

I used to love riding my bicycle around San Francisco in the wee hours of the morning, particularly working my way up to somewhere elevated and spectacular and then screaming down the streets into one of the low-lying areas doing 40 mph on my mountain bike. it was the sort of activity that should come with a soundtrack like a Warren Miller movie.

i'm currently sitting in a cigar shop with 4 cuban dudes, one of them is rolling, and we're watching the food channel. one of them just came back with a box of Modelo Especial beer. this could get ugly.
