I only like solid color Les Pauls.
I don't "get" guitars that only have a single bridge pickup.
My favorite Stratocaster position is with the center pickup selected. I don't like the neck/middle or neck alone very much.

this may not count as a confession, but i'm pretty upset tonight. in addition to the stuff i've posted about previously, last night i found out from a friend that he may get sacked from the teaching position he's held for 20 years. today, i got popped for driving with a suspended license (due to traffic tickets i can't afford to pay) and will now have to take money out of my 401k to deal with this stuff, having no other resources to fall back on. and i just got off the phone with my friend Dan, who i've known since we were 16, who told me he may have prostate cancer. when i asked him what was going on and he hemmed and hawed, i knew before he even said it that he was going to say "cancer." my depression has gotten better since the beginning of the week, thank God, and i'm coping. but these guys are my two closest male friends in the world.
what was really, uh, heavy--cue Wayne Coyne singing "Waiting for a Superman"--was when Dan asked me "so, what do we do now?" understand that i've been asking him for advice for decades, and have always looked up to him as the stronger of us by far. somehow i knew to tell him "we deal with it as it comes, and try to move forward and not lose hope. keep swimming," i said, "because there are two choices: you keep swimming or you don't...and even with my suicidal depression and shit, i still haven't decided to stop swimming."
fucking hell, it's been a terrible day.

I just might have to whack you in the nuts with a Fender Esquire. Think you might get it then?

I have two confessions. First, I was really tired at work today and I ran out to tell someone I had forgotten to give them 2 cents in change. In my defense, she was hot. Second, somebody offered to give me $100 so I would sell them booze at 3am(against state laws) and I turned it down. In my defense, I didn't know how I would ring something like that up/cover my tracks, and I wasn't 100% sure they had that kind of cash on them. I was also busy scrubbing coffee pots with a toilet brush, and I was to tired to deal with and sort of moral quandaries.

So your two confessions are that A) you helped a customer by going above and beyond and returning her correct change, and B) you respected state laws and protected yourself in the process.
Fucking scumbag.

these just sound more like you're doing your job. (aside from the toilet brush part, that's just nasty)

not to mention that there's an even chance that the person making the $100 offer was a cop; out here they use undercovers to do "underage" liquor buys from stores and bars ("tonight, on 'Bait Booze'...") so they can pull the offenders' liquor licenses.

I thought doing that was illegal? Because it's like trying to cause a person to commit a crime, as opposed to catching them committing a crime?

It's called entrapment and it's not very well enforced.

"entrapment" standards vary from state to state and from state codes to federal law. as i understand it, it's not considered entrapment unless the cop(s) actually initiate the offense and the offender wasn't already predisposed towards committing the crime; for example, proposing a bank robbery to five
random guys in a bar so you could arrest them would be entrapment, while proposing a bank robbery to five known criminals with a history of robbing banks would not. thus, the online-pedophile and "Bait Car"-type "stings" are generally not considered entrapment in most jurisdictions but thought of as the equivalent of walking up to a suspected drug or weapons dealer on the street and asking "what you got?"
