Are y'all experiencing volume drop with the clock set low? I've only had a little while to play with mine but it seems like a big drop when the mix is set high.Cody_Pole wrote:Tall Walls wrote:I think it's best to think of the MOOD MKII as a whole new pedal designed around the same concept as the original MOOD. I'm also reminded of Generation Loss and how it would have been nice to be able to pick certain features from the classic mode but making it either/or was frustrating.
And the Dark World where there's volume drop on the Cooper side.
Have you tried Habit or Blooper and how do you feel about the stutter and drop effects in those? You can at least boost the volume there.
Too bad about those weird stereo choices.
I think my volume issue with the Envelope mode is a side effect of the higher fidelity of the MKII. The original MOOD kind of fuzzed out your tone, while MKII is very clean. If I feed the MKII a distorted or fuzz tone I don't notice a volume issue. I have a Blooper; the Dropper modifier is my favorite, but it isn't really comparable to the MOOD's Envelope mode. And the Stutter modifier is okay but the slices are always too small for my taste, and it isn't triggered by dynamics like the MOOD's Envelope mode.
The envelope mode on the Mood mk II is what I wanted the drop and stutter modifiers on the Habit to be which is why I really couldn't gel with the Habit![]()
I'm using the looper side way more on the mk II way more than on the mk I where as it's the exact opposite with my mk I where I'm using the effects with the clock more

Re: The All Nude New Gear Announcements 2023'd
I got my Mood several days ago, but work has prevented me from doing any experimenting. Finally getting to sit down and explore it now and I absolutely loving it! I’m just feeding it some arps from the Matriarch and it’s turning it into a wonderfully ambient wash
Also, FYI, reading through the manual, there’s a hidden tone function that supposedly can be used to match the sound of the original Mood

I haven't had any volume issues that couldn't correct by just adjusting the mix, When you say you have the mix set high do you mean the wet signal?
Deflating Expectations.

Old mood is going away so hopefully those volume issues get resolved

I haven't been able to reproduce oldangelmidnight's volume drop with the clock set low, but I haven't tried every permutation of settings. When playing clean in Envelope mode I still feel like the loop is quieter when stuttering than when it's not, but it's one of those things that's so situation-dependent it's hard to say if it would be an issue for anyone else.

I have possibly bought one of the ltd. run of 100 Mk1 Moods though I haven't had confirmation yet.cosmicevan wrote:Old mood is going away so hopefully those volume issues get resolved

I was tempted by the limited final run, but ultimately decided I like the standard original MOOD graphic better. I also prefer the old Chase Bliss logo to the new incomprehensible pile of shapes, but not so much that I would buy a used one at current prices. I'm looking forward to having the old MOOD sound back.

Re: The All Nude New Gear Announcements 2023'd
The knob that says Mix, I turn it up around 2 o'clock to get rid of most of the dry signal. When using the reverb with a low clock, it's pretty quiet. I turn it off and it's an annoying volume jump. I understand why it would be quiet. I like that lofi sound but I just want some way to compensate.Cody_Pole wrote:oldangelmidnight wrote:Are y'all experiencing volume drop with the clock set low? I adjusted the mix as soon as I started messing with mine via holding down both foot switches and adjusting the mix knob, Have you tried that?

Since it's bean outta production since pre-2020 or sew, it was delightful to hear that the Sterling St. Vincent "Goldie" (in Cashmere/Gold or Velvateen/Deep Red) will be shipping late this summer, along with the roasted maple neck & locking tuners that accompany the other recent Sterlings, and goldfoils!

Good morning!

The Albert Lee with P90s ain’t too shabby either- I’ve been wanting one since I foolishly sold my actual EBMM Albert Lee in my youth. A foolish fool, I was.

This sounds like it's actually going to measure up---cascading echoes, slapback, haunting modulation, rising feedback, and all without the noise of vintage units.

Re: The All Nude New Gear Announcements 2023'd
it does sound pretty pretty nice!
hmmm - how's availability going to be?
not that i'm in that market, and i suspect it's going to be a sparse one (i need to go back and re-read what you wrote earlier)
but i can't imagine they'll be able to pump these out in great numbers quickly - seems like something that would take lots of resources to produce even after the r&d and shakedown are handled....
