I sold all of mine ( ) because they were causing too many problems with long pedal chains, but the Guyatone Moving Box is forever the nicest sounding 4-knobber to my ears.

yass - The Moving Box is loverly, one o'my faves - based on the OG MXR circuit, but tuned differently - a little more depth and resonance available. There's a VOX branded flnjr from the 8Ts that is basically the Moving Box, built by Guyatone for VOX

How does the Moving Box compare to that lovely BF-1 that you have, Dandolin?

they're relatively similar (moreso when the BF-1 isn't under-powered on a mere 9v rectified, lol). I think the Moving Box can be a bit more...extreme, especially with respect to resonance, but they're closer to each other than, say to a Boss or Ibanez. Like two brothers.

Got an Oblivion coming by early next week. I’m excited for it. Seems like a terrific flanger from all the demos.

I got quite a good deal on an XO Polychorus recently and tried it for the first time today. I'd actually owned one before but it produced a high pitched whine on more extreme settings. This one doesn't seem to have that problem, perhaps a trim pot just needed to be adjusted or something.

I've enjoyed the flanger setting most so far - reminds me of post-punk stuff. I compared it to the MF Chorus, which can flange a bit too, and it sounds much more dark and grainy. The MF is very clean and hi-fi in comparison.

Some other good alternatives to keep an eye out for deals on would be the ADA PBF Flanger, Mr Black Shepards End, and Subdecay Starlight.

I may be wrong but Shepards End is a barberpole flanger iirc, which is something very specific and kind of a few-tricks pony imo.
The Starlight V2 i posted in the previous page is still on sale for a pretty decent price, but i'm hesitant because i read about some volume/frequencies drops when engaged, which would be a major problem for me.

Yass! this one seems very interesting - lack of a manual control pushes my buttons, but all those modes, and a blend, help make up for it. Do you know whether this is BBD based? Or DSP? They seem awfully shy about it in the product description (haven't looked at the manual yet). Relatively low current draw, so

Pedal arrived today. Played it for an hour. I love the versatility and sounds coming out of it! Of course this is based on limited use obviously so far. Going to play it a lot more tomorrow. I will keep you guys posted on my thoughts of it. As far as if it’s BBD or DSP it doesn’t say in the manual.

^ Probably safe to assume it's DSP. An analog flanger with that feature set would have an ungodly parts count and price tag.

How does it sound with dirt? No weird low-end dropout running it after distortion?

Pretty interested in this one, the demos sound quite nice.

yeah, I would think so - quad analog flange would probs also be ungodly noisy too, lol.
