I like all these pedals but feel like if I owned them it would be hard to not fall into the routine of using them to blend and smear transitions that haven’t been fully fleshed out.

You guys ever run into that problem?

That's only an issue if you think it is. I use glitches and stutters for transitions all the time. They're usually a perfect compliment to a big drum fill.

I grabbed a big Judder out of curiosity. I didn't know what to expect based on people talking about it and demos but it's pretty different from other stuff in this thread that I've tried, including Form2/Fabrikat, Molecular Disruptor, Charlie Foxtrot, Ct5, 856, Tensor, Particle, Outward, Bakvendt, and Timebender. If I had to pin it down, I'd describe it as a tricked out pt2399 delay that's in a loop gate. The loop gate can be triggered by envelope or by an LFO. The sounds I like best in it remind me of my No Memory, especially with the modulation engaged. It can cop some of the fast sample playback sounds that I like in Charlie Foxtrot and the Pladask and Drolo stuff but it can get more resonant and flangerey or ring moddy. It's very dynamic in a way these glitch pedals sometimes resist and it's huge fun.

Someone mention the MASF Possessed I imagine? It's good--but crazy and unpredictable--and my manual is in Japanese! <g>

left to right, you got speed/"moreglitch"/glitchlength.. three knobs.....revolver 2 random mode I say is unpredictable because it can cut way up there in pitch and scare the flip out of you, thank goodness for the tone&vol knob. possessed nails glitch more than revolver, i say...i dont like digital glitch, sold my particle because it seemed like a preset pony.... possessed is your cd player fuckin up...momentary control would be a cool addition to the box, there was some wacky discussion on the interweb yrs back bout if the possessed is a tremolo a delay or a whatever...that was funny.

Cool, thanks. I assume hearing is level (sounds like it anyways) but what the heck is sight? Tone?

I think I want a Raptio, but I really just need something to do momentary stutter. Is there anything else out there that’s slightly more obtainable? The cost thing isn’t really the issue, it’s more finding one when I have the money. I was thinking about an Ottobit for all of the other functions but I don’t think it does stutter like I need it to?

For the RAptio look on ebay or Global Rakuten: there it's quite easy to find it new from Japan for really good prices.

^ Yeah, this. People sometimes treat MASF as super rare, but his pedals are pretty easy to find on the Japanese market.

Otherwise you could look at the Drolo stamme[n], which in many ways can be seen as an expansion on the Raptio.

Yes, that Drolo Stammen is also super cool. But having already Raptio, Revolver DX, Mandala and Superego+, I don't think it's a good idea to get one... toooo many pedals xD
