I have been working on finding a way to do it effectively and in a truly live manner and so far I have taken the route of breaking it down into a million clips in ableton and fucking around with crossfades and things like that to try and keep it somewhat improvisatory in nature. But yeah. It's something that feel weird coming form an instrumental performace background and I'm looking at working some live loops into it.
Gonna have to figure it out.

Yeah definitely a hurdle, especially since the source material (or anything easily created live) is typically processed out of it's mind before it shows up on anything anyone hears.

Does anyone use a controller with their iPad? If so, what do you use and would you recommend it?

I've got a Novation Launckey Mini but I find the keys to be a bit unresponsive but I don't know how it compares to the other options.

ran thru it quick this morning cuz i did the edits a bunch of months ago.

for JUMANJI, i think i changed some of the beat slicing to latch to beat divisions of live's tempo (you can still just turn the knobs and get in-between)
i also got pitch down and reverse grains going on the greenwood. (reverse is negative value, pitch down is between 0 and 1.)

and added a step size knob, which was my attempt at getting in-between the octaves at different musical intervals. step size 1 is normal operation.
it works but i think my math is off on some of the settings sooooo yea gotta tweak this part.

the delay should be hooked up properly now too.

NOISE. i think i just added some longer sweep ranges. on my list is maybe adding a few different waveforms to select from instead of just sweep + and sweep -

Really good stuff, Ev_O)))!!!! The sounds you're making are vary inline with what I like. Reminds me of Tim Hecker, Jeffrey Cantu Ledesma and also the New Zealand band Jakob, for some reason. Not to say the music doesn't have a sound/feel of its own - it does, which I really appreciate and respect.

I've also found it really tricky to find a way to pull this kind of stuff off live.

Root Strata has some really great releases. I've been digging the hell out of "Perhaps" by Harold Budd. Not processed, but really beautiful nonetheless.

Other labels with typically great releases are: 12k, Denovali, Erased Tapes, Hibernate, Slaapwel, dauw, and Komu.
