That being said, I have no interest in the Deco one bit.

Can confirm, Deco is awesome. It can be an overdrive, booster, chorus, flanger, short delay and if you hook up an expression pedal you can screw with the delay time and make it sound like a tape speeding up and slowing down... it doesn't really overlap with anything I've had before yet cos its very different tonally to the normal iterations of what i listed but it could probably substitute 3 or 4 pedals for some people.. i use the right side as an always-on subtle flanger and the left side to slam a RAT for gain boost and saturation. Even though people seem to use it as a kind of preamp i think it sounds way better at the start of the chain. Makes yr guitar sound thick and soupy.

I've been using the saturation side for some subtle compression, and occasionally some extra drive into my fuck > tafm for crazy feedback. And I've been using just about every sound I can out of the double tracker side. I really enjoy the the wobble and blend maxed out with the lag time in between the flange and chorus settings, as well a little less wobbly and an evenly blended slap back. I know a lot of people weren't happy with the range on the wobble knob but the max is just where I like it. I had a warped vinyl for a while, while it sounded it amazing it was just a tad too dark for using with a band. With the Deco, it sits nicely in a band mix and it has a larger variety of sounds that I like as compared to the WV.
It replaced my SP Compressor, Mayflower, and Supermoon. (I know it replaced a reverb but I've come to find I enjoy stacking delay far more than I do reverb.)
I really have no other pedal to compare it to, and I really haven't ever had a experience with a pedal like this in the sense that I thought it was pretty dumb when I first learned about it, and it slowly won me over enough to at least try it. Now, I don't see it leaving the board for the forseeable future.

the wobble knob range is definitely pretty slim but that hasn't bothered me in the slightest.. i find it hard to get chorus and flanger pedals sounding 'static' for always-on toneshaping without it sounding weird.. there's always some comb filtering or uneven-ness in pitch that throws my playing off but the Deco really nails that subtlety for making it sound more interesting but not being too overt or obstructive. kinda like what the Boss Metalizer does but with more more control. anyone should have at least one other flanger on their board anyway so no reason for it to be a problem. you can pair it with other mod effects without things sounding too cluttered as well. the auto-flange feature when you hold down the footswitch is awesome, too. totally killed my TZF gas cos you can activate thru-zero just when you want it rather than it happening constantly whenever the pedal is on. really expressive.

This is my first flanger I've ever owned too! I've never liked how it sounded in most contexts, but I can see myself putting it to good use now.
