OK, the Zoom H2 is a great recorder except that you have to hit Rec twice. Just once doesn't record. You'd think I would have learned this by now. I figured it out after about an hour of sick-ass jams, but once I got it recording the inspiration was lost. Here's a clip of some of its capabilities, but it doesn't do it justice. Neither the dual looper or the Lexicon are in effect in this clip, but every sound you hear (except for my buddy on fuzz bass) is coming from that rig. The bass fuzz is an Idiot Box Death Ray.

The rig is at my practice space now so I can't record another demo til next week, sorry

Sounds really cool for an inspirationless jam!

Quick question..
I have an outside performance coming up with a low light situation; any suggestions on how to apply some nonintrusive tactile lighting for my tabletop setup?
I'm thinking a clip on book reader may be the easiest and cheapest

Ebay has some clip-on reading lights, shop around because there are some cheap/good ones, and some overpriced ones too. Mine have two bulbs per lamp (two levels of brightness) and two lamps per unit. (I say lamps, but they are small). Can't remember if mine shipped from China (maybe)

Thanks K2000 for the input. The gig is this weekend so I'll be shopping a bit more local.

So the gear isn't that weird, compared to a lot of our set ups around here, but it does sit on the table and holy fuck did it get experimental Friday night...

Big bookstore like Barnes & Noble might have it (call first)
Clip-on work light with a colored bulb could be okay too.

That setup is so full of awesome!
Did you make the rack/board yourself?

Cool.
Do you have a case/bag for it as well?

No. We've only even played in Oslo, so I don't need one (yet). I can carry it easily by the thick black bars in the back (maybe not pictured?). Everything is velcroed down, and it's an all aluminium and plexiglass construction, so it's fairly lightweight and portable as is.
Den tid, den sorg, as we say.
