I feel the same. I like to do things in RPGs that could never happen in real life... like riding dragons and where carrying a sword is the norm (i so wish that was still the case).

Haha totally, I don't want to shop for groceries and do taxes and laundry in an RPG! I wanna cast magic spells and sword fight!

Brad, let's start wearing swords again.. it'll never come back if nobody starts doing it...

ok, another skyrim rant... yeah. the hearthfire DLC is lame as hell. was kind of amusing building a big house, but you don't even get to design or arrange anything beyond choosing between three options for each of its three wings. the addition of an oven and being able to plant things, whoop dee doo. adoption was lame as hell too, don't even have to do anything to take care of the kid.

there totally should have been missions involved in this. rescuing a kidnap or destroying something to clear out a land space.

blah.

LAAAAAAAAAME. I was hoping it would be sort of like the castle DLC for Oblivion where there were crazy secret chambers and all that good stuff. I'm still going to get it to have an easily accessible house in the game with an armory. I have a house in the Nord city...but it's a really glum and racist place, so my own estate sounds nice.

i already had every home available in the game before this. have only done one of the three possible locations, not sure if it'll let me do all of 'em, regardless not sure i'd wanna bother... it was neat to do one step at a time and turn to see the partial construction (and fun that i wound up killing a dragon from an incomplete second floor) but it was kind of annoying how it took shitloads of iron. first time i've given a crap about that substance aside from turning it into silver & gold.

Too many good games came out and i don't have enough time to play any of them.

Hotline Miami - Just got this today so far its fun. The music is great
X-Com - I like it but its just a dumbed down version of the original. The way you can shoot threw every wall is kinda stupid.
Faster Than Light - Great game. Its like a simulated Star Trek battle.
Retro City Rampage - Another really good game.
Growlanser 4 - Wayfarer of Time - This series has always been OK but this game really is a good Japanese RPG. If you like the somewhat bizarre Japanese RPGs then you will like this.
Code of Princess - Made by the same team as the original Guardian Heroes the greatest beat'em up ever. I dont own a 3DS yet but Im buying one just for this game.

Have you seen the documentary Indie Gamer? It follows the makers of Fez and Super Meat Boy while they get those games ready for launch over a period of a couple years.. it's really cool and interesting.

I did watch it and purchased it for my viewing pleasure. That's how I heard about those games. Really good soundtrack to the movie also!

Hahaha. I got Growlanser 4 and deleted it about 8 minutes after I started the game.
J-rock opening.
Okay, this dude looks like Squall. So I'll name him Squall.
Chick wearing some sort of space thong wants me to call her my "sister" and then immediately goes on about her being my childhood friend and if I remember THE GOOD OLD DAYS. Oh god, here we go.
Then I rescue the most androgynous boy ever.
Deleted...I don't need that many anime cliches right out of the gate.

I think I'm the only person on the planet who despises the Assassin's Creed series. I think the story is stupid, especially how everything turns out to be an illuminati conspiracy, and I found the gameplay to be repetitive and unenjoyable. I hope you like it, but I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't give a shit about that release.

Yeah, I'm not really into AC games. It was cool the first time around but eh.
I also dislike 99% of indie games. Especially the recent trend of simple pixelated graphics. The good developers of the NES/SNES era pushed the graphical limitations of those systems, made everything look as lush and smooooooove as possible...this is just a "hey this is so wacky and retro" style, it's rarely comparable.

how it goes, everyone has their own tastes & preferences. the first one was mediocre but an obvious attempt at something different. the three game series of the second chapter was fucking awesome in my books. awesome as in like competition for elder scrolls, fallout, hitman...

I do kinda wanna play this new one because the trailer was so incredibly patriotic.
I want an attack eagle or something.

from what I've heard, the whole do whatever you want and enjoy the revolution thing is much better than the missions.

i WILL agree there were some very, very annoying missions through the second story. little ones that would just be annoyingly touchy and such. overall though man... i'm just a junkie for them for climbing shit, incredible views, being able to sneak around and loot things and stab and run away... fun stuff, at least for me.
