Re: The talk you OUT of GAS thread!
I've been drooling over boomerangs for a while. They look so sexy with their little rubber foot switchies and such.
I have a tendency to run a super hot signal through my delays, and most of them crap out. That's my one complaint with the Timeline, the looper was total shit with looping dirt.
I'd been GAS'ing today for another Maxon AD999. I miss that pretty pink beast

fixed for me - waiting since the beginning of time for my timeline
That's odd; a lot of TGP folk have been receiving their Timelines in a week or less (recent trend from about a week or two ago).

I'd highly suggest getting in touch with them. I waited a month before they found a hiccup in my order and sent it right along

What does your order status say? Shipped? Or processing?

I'll give you a heads up on the Sceptre when I get home, mine is at my door! How much is it going for?

Re: The talk you OUT of GAS thread!
They're both pretty clean amps. If you get most of your dirt from your pedals, either of them should suffice. Seems like the V4 needs more work. Buying a 3 prong for the Sceptre would be cheap and easy. At this point both of them will need serviced, so it's essentially just a toss up
The V4 is 40 more watts, but I'm not sure of your application!

well i play bass in a shoegaze band mostly, but i play heavy doom inspired guitar stuff for my solo stuff. do you think the v4 would be a pricey fix?

Re: The talk you OUT of GAS thread!
Depends. Both of them are going to need servicing anyways because of their age, but I'd guess anywhere from $100-200 just to replace caps, bench fees, make sure everything is running fine. Thats the only thing that sucks about vintage amps, but once you get them serviced they should be good to go for a long while

Re: The talk you OUT of GAS thread!
got to play a Lee Ranaldo Jazz master through a fender excelsior at a local shop the other day
Man did that sound sweet
They wanted 1100 for the JM
and 300 for the Excelsior
I know I don't have it and would have to liquidate a ton of stuff just to get it
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP
