Ryan wrote:Right on, guys, I'm glad you like the idea... I don't really have a time frame or anything just yet but we'll make some plans over the coming months. I think we'll keep this run quite small, real small. I've fashioned five pointed sticks. Any people who want this pedal will be placed in a pit with these five sticks, 2 bananas, and a passion fruit. Whoever survives gets a pedal.

In. :poke:

And I'm cool with the smaller box idea.

I don't really have any news about this... I just emailed all our stores about the new Cosmichorus and now I'm over a hundred pedals behind so this is probably gonna take a back-seat for a month or two or more.

After pondering it awhile though, I think I'd do them exactly like Donny's, same box, same controls, same stomps. No expression control, it's too much wiring when it's not designed into the pcb.

As long as its different enough from the reg SDDs (like donnys is) I can justify adding it.

As long as what's different? The pedal in general? It's a totally normal SDD except for longer delay time...

Oh man I'm am definitely in on this! Always have room for more delay in my life. Always.

I can appreciate this sentiment but I disagree strongly with it. I also don't like the mentality that finishes are more special than circuits and hardware and SOUND.

Those vinyl finishes looked killer indeed but the powdercoat look every bit as good imo. Plus Tanya still does all the designing. Plus you can bust out pedals so much faster this way. Plus my vinyl finished Dr. S collection is steadily skyrocketing in value.

I see the draw of multiple finish options tho, I love it actually. That said, I'd never pass on a pedal based on finish availability cuz that's hella lame.

In closing, I fully support the new direction. :thumb:

Haha I saved a few vinyl ones too... in 50 years we'll all sell them and meet up on a beach somewhere for champagne. *smile*

We love the powder coated boxes and Tanya loves having her life back. Guitar pedals wasn't really meant to be her life like it is for me.

That along with the mod and feed back switch is what I meant by different enough.

Ok cool... you're gonna love it then! *smile*

If I was doing a special pcb for these then I'd probably make some changes... maybe wet/dry mix instead of repeats level.. maybe filter the repeats differently even.. but I'm using the last of the 5 knob SDD pcbs for this.

All delays should have a footswitch that sends them into either full repeats or oscillation, hey? I love it!
