huh. depending on the price and what can be controlled by expression pedal i might actually be into the trem part. set with reverb with the Nimbus. but i've wanted a good trem that you could control the subdivisions with an expression pedal for forever.

but it's probably gonna be way more than i'd want to spend on a super limited use (for me) pedal.

You can't expression control secondary functions. It's not gonna do what I know you want it to do, Behndy. Best wait for a new Cygnet.

It's always hard to not get insta-gas when hearing their demos. They know how to showcase their pedals well.

I will say this: it seemed more interesting than I thought it would be. I don't see why they didn't go for a dedicated Trem though... Tap tempo would have been awesome.

According to the Strymon website you can with this pedal... it says "Tap Subdivision acts as a four-position switch to change the tap subdivision when using an external tap pedal. Change from sixteenth, triplet, eight and quarter.' :idk:

I think it looks awesome. Having owned a couple Strymon pedals, they are some of the nicest on the market, and this seems to be no exception. Will GAS for one and maybe check it out way later in the year.

The hidden knob functions are pretty sweet. I like that you can switch the effect order with the hidden function on the decay knob. Clips sound really good!

the tremolo sounds quite lovely. i don't like the reverbs at all; in fact, i find them shockingly lame. however, if they made a standalone trem pedal and i was in the market for a vintage-sounding trem that doesn't do square wave i'd be extremely interested...you don't see a trem with three useable sounds every day.

it sounds cool, but it's not something I'd spend $300 on.

Pretty sure several of us own $300+ pedals around here. Price is not the issue, it's just the negative cache associated with Strymon because of who goes apeshit for them (TGP).

i disagree. Strymon makes great stuff. there's tons of Timelines/El Caps/etc. on here, regardless of what the TGP crowd has to say about it. but there are certain pedals that people would happily shell out $300 for, and this just doesn't seem to be one of them.

I'm with MadMax.

Broadly speaking, if we at ILF are dropping 300 bucks on a pedal it probably sounds like an SNES holocaust.
