My comp is a 2006 HP pavilion 17" lap top that was sweet brand new but has serious over heating issues so I've been thinking of a new machine, maybe a MacBook... :erm:
However, you being one of maybe four people that know what I'm planning, this custom might be the thing I need...
So, in short...
But I do have enough to pull the trigger but I think I might go comp now and order this in a few more months. Where are the 12 hour work days when you need them for crazy custom EGCs?!? :mope:
Unexpected expenses like that suck.. I'm always worrying our truck is going to need work. I say get the new comp and then get the guitar... Has it been a slow summer around your shop too?

Just got the down-payment quote for my bass idea. So excited. Should be getting it going soon.

Sounds awesome.Though I wonder how many times he has said something along the lines of "This is going to look awesome"
I sent an email seeing how everything is going now, it's been about 20 days since I spoke to him about it. Also, decided to get the back of the body Anodized as well as the neck and have the back of the neck polished aluminum (like an ebony/maple neck). He said that they look good like that, so yeah...

Yeah i liked how prymaxe had him powdercoat on fretboards when they ordered theirs. While i wont blow the spot on what im ordering or the options im getting, with mine I'm def going for a utilitarian thang. Def caveman and def going to look great after its been abused for a couple years. It feels great to finally be able to start work on this...i put my down in like a year ago and told him not to start it yet and it turned out i was right on the money as i had to quit my job two weeks later.

Man, I want an EGC so bad, but I'm terrified I won't be able to get used to the neck.
I'm so used to my '80 les Paul neck.

I wish I could afford one of these. Sadly I don't think I ever will.
