Even the damn keyboard players get thier own sticky! Remember teh good old days when the keyboard player had to ride in the back of the van sitting on an amp without heat or a/c?
Good times...good times.
Since time began we've always posted in the guitar thread so does that mean you want the mods to delete/move all the bass posts from the last 5 years or something?
Duh

If they made a 5 string model in matte black, and without the annoying active electronics, i'd jump on it.
Nothing wrong with active basses, mind you, i just prefer passives in mine.

I'm with you on that one, I find passive basses to be simpler. and easier to get a good sound out of.
All I want in a bass is a straightforward killing machine.

Of course, that being said, my nest bass is probably going to some wickedly complex active beast.

I find that active basses have their place, for sure. It's just not in a thunderbird.

I really like instruments that scream RAWK. I have that Mockingbird bass, I have an Iceman guitar. I have had flying V's.

P bass is my main, featuring my first Couch strap EVAR. Jag is my backup.
I also have a stable of five strings that never get any play anymore.
