Hey talking about rare, this is a prototype Skinpimp Si Fuzzrite #000
Done on vero and with waterslide decals instead of all the nice graphics.
It sounded like crap, which is probably why there aren't many SP Fuzzrites kicking around, but then I found the layout he used and someone on the DIY forum pointed out the layout was wrong and had a cap missing ... added that and it sounds like a gnarly Fuzzrite should.

Interesting...I'd love to see Ryan take another shot at fuzzrites, he can certainly make some nasty sounding fuzzes.

I need to stock up on tissues before Ed gets back to this thread.

ok so I am really into getting early Muff's that weren't made by EHX just as much as I am into getting the OG's.
ones that I have yet to acquire but are my the list are the Rozz Dead Heat, Sekova Big Muff, Hohner Tri-Dirty Booster, Jen Jumbo Fuzz, & the Elk Gakki Big Muff.
(so if you guys ever come across these, let me know :hello: )

Ok here is collection as of now///
All but 1 are Muff-esque but they all fit into it somehow.
Image

Top Row:
Jen Fuzz & Sustain (not a Muff, but it was always rumored to be one), Jordan Creator, NYC Reissue-Frantone, Tone Bypass/IC Muff, Maestro MFZ (IC based fuzz that is like low gain Muff), Colorsound Jumbo Tonebener.
Middle Row:
Civil War Muff, Tall Font Sovtek, Black Transitional big box Sovtek, Black Sovtek, rare '72 PNP Triangle Muff
Bottom Row:
80's Vestax Fuzz (Japanese 4 tranny fuzz. sounds like a Civil War with an upper octave), Maxon D&S OD801, Maxon D&S, Ibanez OD850, 1976 Forrest Cook Muff clone (possibly 1st "boutique" muff), VT Toad (not really a Muff but it sounds enough like one to include in the pic), Dyna Soar Fuzz, IC Muff Fuzz

here are some of the others that have gone on to new homes:
transitional green Civil War (best sounding Sovtek I ever had, shouldn't have gotten rid of it)
Image
regular old Greenie Bubbly
Image
my first Civil War Muff, it was really smooth on the leads and sounded huge
Image
earliest V3 transitional Rams Head in NYC enclosure, sounded cool, but not heavy enough for me.
Image

not pictured was another big box lack Sovtek, '74 Rams Head and another Green Bubble Font Sovtek.

Wow.
I love those v3 EH3003 muffs -- had a couple w/ BC239Cs, but I also had one that was PNP w/ 2n5087s. That was killer. Should have kept it...

There was a Hohner TriBooster on ebay the other day -- went for $700+ though

its back up now actually.
it has a replaced switch.
I know Hongsta bought Sir HC's Tri Dirty and his Sekova... I will gladly buy them if he ever decides to sell.

oh yeah, that Toad, not only used to be yours, but is the one we battled over on ebay for.

I have two friends who are both giant Mr. T collectors. They met battling it out over stuff on eBay. They formed a gentleman's agreement not to bid against each other on stuff and became homeboys. Their combined Mr. T collection is insane.

TIL that there are Mr. T collectors in the world ... proving JBS Haldane right yet again:

the Universe is not only queerer than we suppose, but queerer than we can suppose.

I didn't know the Toad was a muff BTW...ed and I pumped the prices of Vintage Technologies pedals there for a while battling it out against each other for them.

Nice collection BTW (of muffs that is...the Mr. T thing is kinda :picard: )

kosta is never late. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.... :animal:

The Toad isn't. Its a Vox Distortion Booster clone with more gain, but it sounds real Muffy so I added it to the photo  :idk: .

yeah the VT pedals a really nice though. How was that tremolo? do you still have it? That's the one that is the hardest to track down for me.
