Wow, thanks for re-introducing me to Rev. Blind Gary Davis. The stuff I have isn't too great I think, but this is awesome stuff!
Magic Sam is pretty badass too!
I love that Beefheart song. This one must be my favourite video of the Captain. I love the way they rock out:

Brother ghost, who is Sylvester Weaver? Never heard of him.

Blind Boy Fuller and Son House, those two nail it for me. Every one in his own distinct style. Pure awesomeness.
Also Skip James and Blind Willie McTell and Robert Johnson. I could listen to these guys all the time.

I got a collection called the Alan Lomax Blues Songbook. On it is the best version of Rolling and Tumbling ever, by Rosalie Hill. If you get a chance to - listen to that. Amazing version. (Dylan's on Modern Times is pretty amazing too.)

Also there are old demo recordings of Nick Drake, where he plays amazing blues guitar.

Sylvester Weaver is a late 20's/early 30's cat who I believe is from GA.(as is Blind Willie McTell, and me :joy:  ). He has 2 songs on a Columbia Complilation called Bottles,Knives, and Steel which,as you'd imagine is devoted to the slide guitar. I ordered an album off Amazon. His instrumentals are kind of raggy and phenomenal, some of the best blues I've heard. :thumb:

I love that Beefheart song, I just wish the album version could've sounded like that.

Some garage rock/punk blues stuff:

I'm at work (Yes, on sunday. Here it's 9.15pm), so no clips to post.

But Seasick Steve is my favourite garage blues stuff. And don not forget the Blues Explosion. Especially the record with R.L.Burnside. Baaaaadass.

I love Steve's stuff as well, check out the Bob Log stuff, same sort of style as Steve except a little quirkier.

My favorite song off the Ass Pocket of Whiskey album

I mean, he has to if he's gonna slap Earl Hooker's name on a guitar and charge that much for it, right?
