I can attest to this

It's trashier than any other fuzz, I guarantee it.

The only Devi I own is an E13 SM. One day, I will own a White Spider too.

Got a clone coming my way... we'll see when it arrives. :)*

Anybody got a perf layout of this or a Fuzzrite? I'll share my cookies with you... they're Maple-flavoured!

Now I gotta find a perf layout...
Vox tonebender is thin and reedy, wouldn't describe it as trashy tough (I love it so...).
Have you thought about a fuzzrite? Easy build too.

Here's a schem for the tone bender though
I have vero layouts for fuzzrites if you want em.

Thin and reedy is what I want! That vero layout would be appreciated... I haven't yet tried to build an effect using vero.

It can, but it does so much more too. And, I'm glad to hear you have a clone on your way, elbandito.

Earlier, I asked if anyone could venture to guess what fuzz one of the guitarists from Crass used. I've decided to attach a couple of short sound clips that present the sound I'm talking about... I await your expert opinions or suggestions of close approximations!

the first one is a little quieter in the mix, but it's the really fucking thin-sounding rhythmic guitar part, and the second one is a sort of melody (?) which is a lot easier to distinguish:

Harmonic Percolator! Trashy, still very defined. It's like playing on a metal bodied guitar with fresh strings through a Rat set low gain and a shitty old 60's amp... or something.

The Maestro FZ-1 is probably the trashiest I can think of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pf5RbKlvdM the first fuzz box... pretty nasty sound though really.

Or yes the Mosrites are good or a Baldwin Burns Buzzaround... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZViQ2H-5s4 probably the best sounding of the trashier fuzzes, to me anyway (although I still love a good Tone Bender MkII)

Also check out the Kay Fuzztone... pretty nasty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tfyW5dP ... re=related Silicon too so no finding them pesky germaniums (but oh they sound so good)

I don't have a perf for any of these but I could make a vero up (I have a vero for the Tone Bender MkII & Mosrite Fuzzrite)... on board pots for a 1590B, natch.
