I used a fake name so my family can't find me. ^_^

I check it out now and then, but I'm not a slave to it, unlike the internet in general.

Yup. Give it a year and it will just forward to farmville as soon as you log in.

My dad added me on facebook.
Funny thing is, he is the one who is censoring himself now.
Turns out he snorts, tokes, and one night stands his way into the top 5 reasons I find the internet hilarious.

I registered to see my cousins' pictures, and then a lot of people started adding me. It was great to find friends that I hadn't know of in years. Now I check it two or three times a week.
Sometimes I have 100+ invitations to Mafia Wars and Farmville to ignore...

Good call!
I quit Facebook a few months ago.
It caused social drama for me AND wasn't somewhere I felt comfortable posting, since I had aunts adding me, long-lost classmates I didn't want to reconnect with but also didn't want to offend...
I deactivated it before, but then reactivated just so people would stop asking why I didn't have a page (or asking if I unfriended them). Then I took down my wall, and had to put up a notice that I didn't have a wall so people would stop asking what happened to my wall (thinking that I blocked them from seeing my wall)...
I don't think I'll ever return, cause it's just not a place I feel comfortable--for a billion reasons. That South Park episode on Facebook really nailed it for me.

I found a link to the way to completely delete your profile, not just that lame hiding all your information til you come crawling back and couldn't resist getting rid of it.

I use it to avoid physical interaction with people.

I made one a couple years ago because some girls I grew up with were trying to holler, but after that...I left it be. I still get people adding me, and talking to me, but I typically ignore it. Only reason I know I still get stuff 'cause they email me.
