not all christians attend the westboro baptist church.
please refrain from making sweeping generalizations of entire groups of people, as it makes you sound as ignorant as you claim the other group to be.

Putting my religious views aside (I am agnostic/atheist), I still believe The Pope should be arrested....somewhat. Only problem is the uproar that can/will/may be caused by it. Sadly though, if no action is taken it appears that The Church still trumps over the law.
As soons as I realized Pope Benedict looked like the Sith Lord, I knew he was a bad choice.
Believe me when I say my Catholic High School wasn't too happy with my observation.

Hope they do it. People need to realize religion isn't the ultimate power and it exist within the rules of the world, not just the rules within its' self.

It seems like it's always the militant atheist that's enough of a tool to start shit on a message board.
Not to detract from this thread, I still think the Pope should be arrested. But I think a lot of people should that aren't. Anyone in high power seems immune to the law, and it's bullshit.

What's a militant atheist? Oh I know, those guys who fly planes into buildings yelling "Evolution is grand!" right? They hang out on internet forums like
this one right? They
shoot religious doctors right? Give me a fucking break with the hyperbole.

I think people just called for some amount of civility and fairness (as far as understanding that there
are Christians out there, however few, that try to follow the whole "be kind/loving/accepting" thing). I haven't seen anyone jumping to defend the pope or Christianity, just calling for some calmness and reason rather than inciting/heated language. Just the way this board is, despite being extremely open-minded. I don't see anyone else here who wants to fight.

I think your Eliphas Levi avatar's actually pretty funny for someone who professes to hate religion so much --- kind of an atheist teapartier

Anyway this whole argument isn't about religion; it's about systematic rape and abuse of children by members of an institution that was covered up by the now head of that institution. Of course, if it were any institution than a religious one, heads would roll, no question.
